Noah’s Ark Preschool

     from the director’s desk…May 2007

Yippee! I took my winter coat to the cleaners the other day. I had tried to drop it off a month ago, but you know Minnesota! The children love being on the playground again. Make sure you dress them appropriately.

It’s that time of year when I get al little "teary" not just because of my spring allergies, but because for a number of you these are your last days of bringing a child to Noah’s Ark. I will miss seeing and visiting with you. Please do stop by once in awhile. It’s always fun for us to catch up with you and see how your children have grown.

There are so many of you who have helped us out in one-way or another during the school year. I want you to know that you are very much appreciated. Thank you and God bless each of you.

There is one more Book-It Pizza Hut coupon being sent home with this newsletter. Keep up on the reading over the summer!

I heard that there is a rumor in the neighborhoods that Noah’s Ark is full for the 2007-2008 school year. ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE!!!   We have filled approximately 2/3 or our total enrollment.  That means that we have close to 100 spots available for 3, 4 and 5 year olds.  Please let people know that we will continue to accept registrations.

Last summer I had several sturdy metal signs made advertising our preschool program.  There is currently one on the boulevard in front of the church.  If you live in a location that you think would benefit us by ‘advertising from your lawn’ and you would be willing to display a sign, please talk to me as soon as possible.  We’d really appreciate it!

Summer Preschool dates have been set:

June 25 through 29

July 16 through 20

Classes will run from 9:15 to 11:45 and will include a field trip each Friday. More information will be available shortly.

Jill & Tom Paulus Update

We are thrilled to let you know that we’ve heard that Tom moved his left leg from side to side about 7-8 inches. He’s been transferred to Sister Kenny. Cards and well wishes can be sent to:

Tom Paulus, Room 2334-2
Sister Kenny Rehab. Services
800 E. 28th Street
Minneapolis, MN. 55407

When not receiving her chemo, Jill can be found visiting Tom. I am in awe of the amazing strength and faith of this wonderful family.

We are almost 2/3 of our way toward raising $1600 to help the Paulus family with all the expenses that have been building up as a result of Jill’s Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer and Tom’s fall and paralysis.
We want to reach our goal of $1600, so that it can be matched in full by THRIVENT Financial. Please make your contribution payable to Noah’ s Ark (Paulus Fund) and drop them off in the preschool office.

Have a terrific, safe summer. God Bless you all.

Director
