PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT
A child will profit most
from a school experience when home and school share common goals. Therefore, we
welcome and encourage the sharing of views and ideas. Ways in which parents may
participate in our program are:
Parents are invited to
visit preschool. We have an open door policy. Please remember that teachers must
be attentive to the children during class, but will be happy to talk with you
before or after class, or by phone or appointment.
There are scheduled
opportunities when parents are asked to attend preschool with their child:
 | The
first day of school (three year old classes) |
 | Birthday
Party for Jesus (December, during class time), |
 | Parent Night
(usually a winter evening ~ watch for an announcement), |
 | Spring
party (May, during class time). |
In order to make these
events "special," we ask that you do not bring siblings to any of
these events. A staffed nursery is available during our Christmas Party and
Spring Party.
Parents are encouraged to
offer their services and talents for preschool projects. Perhaps you would be
willing to get involved in a cooking project, accompany us on a field trip or
share something that would interest our children. We are always looking for
someone willing to sew, help cut and count Campbell's labels, or work on a
fund-raising project. Let the director know how you would like to help.
